ThorpeForms: Keeping your software up-to-date

Support for older ThorpeForms software has been discontinued, and menu functions are no longer accessible. Using outdated software can leave your computer and data vulnerable, as it lacks the latest security updates and performance enhancements. To ensure optimal functionality and protection, we strongly recommend upgrading to the most current version of ThorpeForms.

Installation Instructions: 

  1. Click on the Download button.
  2. Complete the requested information and click Download.
  3. The file will save to your computer (usually to Downloads folder). This will start the installation process.  When completed, select Finish.
  4. Run the installer file (thorpeforms.exe).
  5. The ThorpeForms Desktop will open.

Technical Solutions

I need to print a seller side only disclosure

If lenders are only requesting that you provide a Seller’s Disclosure (eliminating the need to fill out a full Closing Disclosure Form), you may want to use the Seller’s Closing Disclosure Professional.

Alternatively, you can complete and save a Closing Disclosure Form, then select Seller Side Only in the ThorpeForms Print menu.

I need to provide an ALTA settlement statement

Purchase the ALTA Settlement Statement Plug-in for your Closing Disclosure Form. This Plug-in creates your ALTA Settlement Statements instantly from the information you’ve already entered on your Closing Disclosure Form – no extra typing for you!

I need more lines in section e on the closing disclosure form

The CFPB regulations for this form clearly state that no lines can be added or deleted under the “Taxes and Other Government Fees” subheading. Use the provided Addendum for Section E to itemize your entries.

How do i fix Run-time error 5941

This error is most commonly caused by using the Enter key when filling out the form, or adding/removing rows. The form is formatted to very specific government guidelines and should not be changed. If you need assistance fixing your document, send an email to Support with a note referencing this specific error message and attach your saved document.

I've opened a thorpeforms (Word) document on a different computer and i can't find the thorpeforms tOOLBAR

When you create and save a document in Microsoft Word, certain user-specific settings are saved with it.  Accessing the ThorpeForms toolbar requires manually following a sequence of steps each time that document is edited at a different computer or through quick On-Demand access with the Portability Plug-in.

Portability Plug-in users:  You have On-Demand access to the ThorpeForms toolbar on all Plug-in compatible ThorpeForms documents.  (see How to use my Portability Plug-in ….)

Manual access to the ThorpeForms toolbar:
1. Open the ThorpeForms (Word) document that you want to edit
2. Click File 
3. Click Options
4. Click Add-ins
5. In the Manage list, select Templates
6. Click Go
7. Click Attach
8. Select ThorpeForms folder
9. Select appropriate Product folder
10. Select appropriate Version folder
11. Double-click the template document
12. Click OK

 

1. Open the ThorpeForms (Word) document that you want to edit
2. Click Add-ins > ThorpeForms Plug-in > Portability Plug-in
The Plug-in will instantly find the correct template file. Click Yes to link.

You now have access to your ThorpeForms toolbar.
